In my original resume, I had it tailored towards the more manual labor side of things, since I was applying to government agencies to become a wildland firefighter over the upcoming summer. After looking through the new Ai enhanced version, I noticed a few things that changed. My prompt that I put in was something along the lines of, “Revise my current resume, which I tailored towards wildland firefighting with a heavy emphasis on manual labor, into a resume that would better fit a designer style job”. I found this prompt appropriate, since I sort of have a decent background in the design realm after working in a tile store for three or so years. With this in mind I knew that putting something with potential into Ai to make my resume seem more appealing towards a design job rather than a manual labor job would work well. I can definitely tell that the revised version uses a lot more ‘visual’ style descriptions of what my experience looks like. Overall, utilizing Ai to revise my resume into a different type has shown me that the same experience can be presented differently to cater towards different audiences.
